England’s Coastal Town and Seaside Attractions

Could you point any relationship between Asia and England right now for an instant? When we talk about geographic locations, surely there are lots of differences rather than similarities. But within the traveling issues, each place has its own attractions which are unique and worth to discover in this blog.

Some time ago, my friend did ask to me about anything she might able to enjoy and worth to visit as she planned to make a trip to British on a month forward. Rather than visiting London as the main visit, she tend to look up for a journey on England’s coastal towns. She told me that she was very astonished by the beauty of England’s seaside view as she often found on TV.

So, it seems there’s nothing to lose if we can start to discover those towns one by one.

Aberdeen
At the mouths of Dee and Don rivers, lies the Aberdeen city in northeastern Scotland. After Glasgow and Edinburgh, it is the largest city in Scotland and became the principal industrial center. Aberdeen is famously known to its seaport since it’s the country’s largest fishing port. And if you asked for sandy beaches, Aberdeen has them all and known as the tourist resort. Not only the beach, the Aberdeen University which is founded in 1495 is a part of the Aberdeen highlife. Cheap Aberdeen hotels can be easily found such as Aberdeen Douglas Hotel and Waterwheel Inn which offers the available minimum rates.

Brighton
For a major seaside resort, Brighton is an attractive town known for its many parks and handsome squares and crescents. Manufactures are diverse and include electrical equipment and metal products. The famous Asian-style Royal Pavilion, constructed between 1784 and 1787 as a residence for the prince of Wales, later King George IV, is located in Brighton. Purchased by Brighton in 1850, the Royal Pavilion and the Dome (its former stables) now house a museum, picture galleries, and assembly halls. Several theaters and museums, an aquarium, a racecourse, and a large marina are also in the borough. Brighton is the seat of the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton, which was formerly a polytechnic college.

Bournemouth
Bournemouth, unitary authority, southern England, on the English Channel. Bournemouth which has a mild climate and a popular year-round resort is also a major retirement and convention center. The seaside resort community, set in valleys sheltered by cliffs, is noted for its fine sandy beach and numerous parks. Located inland are residential areas and some small-scale industries. Bournemouth was founded in 1810 and grew rapidly as a resort after it became reachable by railroad in 1870.

Several colleges such as Bournemouth & Poole College and Langbourne College, has conduct the Bournemouth student nightlife which is awesome to put themself on a such close relationship. Cheap Bournemouth hotels such as Russel Court Hotel Bournemouth and Woodcroft Tower Hotel, would be a great preferences if you want to stay there for several days.

Bristol
On the Lower Avon River, Bristol is a major manufacturing center and an important shipping point for the products of the industrialized West Midlands region. Its harbor, on the Severn estuary, is accessible to large oceangoing vessels. Since the 10th century, Bristol has been a thriving port city. As the point of interests, the old docks of Bristol are now being carefully restored and transformed into arts and recreation centers. If you want to stay overnight, cheap Bristol hotels are available from as low as 50 GBP up to 130 GBP.

Plymouth
On Plymouth Sound and the Plym and Tamar rivers, Plymouth possesses a fine natural harbor and is the site of the Royal Naval Dockyard, a major employer in the city. It is also an important fishing port and handles passenger traffic to the Continent. The city has an aquarium, a zoo, several museums, and the University of Plymouth which is formerly a polytechnic college. Better not lose the chance to stay and discover the entire city attractions, as well as cheap Plymouth hotels can be easily found.

Originally named Sutton, the town received a charter and its present name in 1439. During the 16th century it became a base for the expeditions of, among others, navigator Sir Francis Drake. In 1588 the English fleet sailed from Plymouth Harbor to meet the Spanish Armada, and in 1620 the Pilgrims embarked from Plymouth aboard the Mayflower. During World War II (1939-1945) the city was bombarded by the Germans; it has since been extensively rebuilt.
